The familiar bolero rhythm permeates this entire work that is reminiscent of Ravel's “Bolero.” While not a transcription, Del Borgo's Bolero pays homage to the great French composer in that it makes use of similar material that is original while maintaining the concept of one very large crescendo that culminates in a dramatic, powerful close. Both players and audience will respond to the fiery impact of this piece.
