Centennial Fanfare is a short concert opener or prelude to a processional. The work begins with a bold percussion introduction followed by the main theme in the trumpets, followed by horns and then full brass ensemble. A lyrical second theme is punctuated by animated rhythmic motives in the winds before returning to the fanfare melody in the full ensemble. <b.Centennial Fanfare was commissioned by Tennessee Technological University for their centennial celebration.
