Opens with bombastic statements in the low drums, leading into call and response with the wooden sounds and the tambourines. The marimbas finally overtake the wooden sounds and form their own groove/melody in 12/8. The piece concludes in a persistent, driving 2/2. Perfect for an advanced college percussion ensemble.
