Electrically charged and full of energy from start to finish, "Electron" is surely to keep audiences on the edges of their seats. A powerful and unique way to close any concert or festival program!
Program Notes
As the title suggests, "Electron" brings the idea to life of something being electrically charged through diverse dynamic and rhythmic combinations, musical styles, and sound effects. It is intentionally a relentless juggernaut from start to finish with wide-ranging and sudden dynamic changes, driving eighth notes, and soaring melodies. Students are required to tap pencils on their music stands to symbolize static electricity. Feel free to explore other playing surfaces and striking implements if striking the music stand doesn’t produce the representative sound.
