Fanfare and Processional
Arranger/Composer: Brian Hogg
Item Code: BMC005
Publisher: Brolga Music
Fanfare and Processional opens dramatically with unison trumpets and percussion. It quickly builds with intensity as the low brass enter and the woodwinds join in with a flourish. After the fanfare a majestic and dignified melody is introduced by the clarinets. The characteristic strength of the music continues to grow until the final climax is reached.
Program Notes
Originally written fot the composer's school band, Fanfare and Processional is based on a five note motif which first appears in the trumpets. The motif was taken from a logo designed, for the band's casual windcheater uniform, by one of the band members. Fanfare and Processional opens dramatically with unison trumpts and percussion. It quickly builds with intensity as the low brass enter and the woodwinds join in with a flourish. After the fanfare a majestic and dignified melody is introduced by the clarinets. The characteristic strength of the music continues to grow until the final climax is reached.
