Program Notes
A Finlandian Celebration is an uplifting and exiting work for young winds and percussion. The single movement work pays homage to the main theme from Jean Sibelius' timeless work, Finlandia. The theme from Finlandia was incorporated in the work because of the name of the middle school for which it was written. The use of the theme also has great significance to the composer, as it is the music from his collegiate alma mater.
