Music for Marimba is a perpetual motion composition set primarily in D minor. A fugal section in the middle of the piece challenges the performer to keep track of four different melodic lines. The piece concludes with the same thematic material as in the beginning, but this time in D major.

Music for Marimba is a perpetual motion composition set primarily in D minor. A fugal section in the middle of the piece challenges the performer to keep track of four different melodic lines. The piece concludes with the same thematic material as in the beginning, but this time in D major. The following techniques are required for the piece: single independent strokes, double lateral and double vertical strokes.
