Prelude for Mark

Arranger/Composer: Joseph Turrin

Item Code: 30940

Publisher: C. Alan Publications

Prelude for Mark was written in memory of Mark Freeh. Mark was not only a good friend but one of New York’s most well know producer’s and recording studio owners. Mark was also well know as a brass band arranger and supporter of brass bands both here in the US and in Europe. He founded the Imperial Brass, which he organized some twenty-five years ago. He was also instrumental in getting me to write for the brass band, which I knew very little about before meeting him. A friend once said about him “Mark was about connections and putting people together” Through the years he introduced me to some of the top musicians in New York, musicians I am still in touch with. Thank you Mark, not only for your friendship but also for your contribution to the music community.
