Program Notes
Three Piece with a Side of Rosin is a short selection in 3/4 time, much like a waltz. All sections of the orchestra are featured on the melody, and students alternate between playing arco (with the bow) and pizzicato (plucking). When the composer finished writing this selection, he celebrated with a two-piece and a side of fries. Three pieces would've been a bit too much for his figure!
